Services

Radia Center for Vascular Disease is the collaboration of the two specialties, vascular surgery and interventional radiology. These groups merged to better serve the community. The physician, coupled with the use of state-of-the-art equipment, combine to offer a full spectrum of services including:

Vascular Surgery
Radia vascular and thoracic surgeons operate on the conditions of the aorta, such as aortic and thoracic aneurysms; peripheral arteries and carotid artery disease resulting from conditions such as atherosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries.

Interventional Radiology Services
Interventional vascular radiology employs minimally invasive, targeted treatments performing imaging guidance to replace open surgical procedures where indicated and appropriate. These procedures are generally less traumatic for the patient because they involve no large incisions, fewer complications, less pain, and shorter recovery times. Procedures include:
  • Balloon angioplasty to relieve blocked blood vessels
  • Insertion of stents to open blocked vessels
  • Uterine fibroid embolization
  • Kyphoplasty
  • Vertebtroplasty
