Services

Radia Institute of the Northwest is the collaboration of the two specialties, vascular surgery and interventional radiology. These groups merged to better serve our patients and the needs of the community. The physicians, coupled with the use of state-of-the-art equipment, combine to offer a full spectrum of services including:

Vascular Surgery
Radia vascular and thoracic surgeons operate on the conditions of the aorta, such as aortic and thoracic aneurysms; peripheral arteries and carotid artery disease resulting from conditions such as atherosclerosis or hardening of the arteries.

Vein Services
Radia's interventional radiologists perform a safe, proven and effective non-surgical procedure called sclerotherapy which is used to eliminate small varicose veins and spider veins under the skin. They also perform a minimally invasive method for treating varicose veins in the legs called endovenous laser ablation. This is an alternative to surgical stripping of the greater saphenous vein.

Interventional Radiology Services
Interventional vascular radiology employs minimally invasive, targeted treatments performing imaging guidance to replace open surgical procedures where indicated and appropriate. These procedures are generally less traumatic for the patient because they involve no large incisions, fewer complications, less pain, and shorter recovery times. Procedures include:
Procedures include:
  • Balloon angioplasty to relieve blocked blood vessels

    • Uterine fibroid embolization
